FAQ
Questions, answered.
Quick answers about costs, visas, universities and your data.
Is Seapaar free for students?
Yes. The basic tools are free for students. Seapaar may earn fees from consultants who choose to work with us, but any referral to a consultant is optional, clearly labelled and based on your profile.
Do you guarantee admission or a visa?
No. Seapaar gives guidance, not guarantees. Admission, scholarships and visas are decided by universities and governments.
Which countries can I explore?
Seapaar covers 43 countries, including the UK, Canada, Australia, the USA, Ireland, New Zealand, Japan, Singapore and all 29 Schengen states.
How do I choose between countries?
Start with your budget, your marks and your field. Use "Find my country" to rank countries for your profile, then compare the post-study work period and the funds each country asks you to show.
When should I start applying?
About a year before your intake. The timeline on this page shows what to do at each stage, from shortlisting to the visa application. Deadlines differ by country and university, so check each official page.
How do consultants fit in?
Consultants are optional. Many claim very high visa success, which you cannot check, so Seapaar is designed to rank them from verified outcomes reported by students, never by payment.
Who can I contact?
Write to seapaarteam@gmail.com, or use the contact page for questions, university partnerships and consultant enquiries.
How do I see universities for one country?
Tap a country card in "Where Pakistani students go", or open the Universities page and tick the country in the filters. The list updates straight away.
Where do the figures come from?
Figures are guide values with a review date. Country rules are checked against official sources where marked, and university tuition, marks and IELTS figures are indicative ranges. Always confirm on the official university and government websites.
What does "first-year cost" mean?
It is a planning figure: the university's tuition plus the living funds that country's student visa asks you to show, converted to PKR at a planning exchange rate. Real costs change with the course, the city and the exchange rate.
Why does a university show a range for marks and fees?
Requirements differ by course, level and city, and universities change them each year. Seapaar shows indicative ranges so you can shortlist, then you confirm the exact figure on the university's own page.
How often is the data reviewed?
Each page shows its review date. Country rules are re-checked against official sources and marked on the university cards when they were verified.
How much money do I need to show?
It depends on the country, the city and the length of your course. Each country in the Guides section lists the funds rule and the paperwork that goes with it. Bank statements must look consistent and genuine.
Can I work while studying?
Most countries allow part-time work during term, with limits on hours. The limit differs by country, so check the "Work while studying" line in the Guides and on each university card.
Are there scholarships for Pakistani students?
Many countries and universities offer scholarships to international students. Named scholarships appear on the university cards and in each country guide. Apply early, because funding deadlines are often earlier than admission deadlines.
Can Seapaar help with the Schengen visa?
Students who stay longer than 90 days do not use the short-stay Schengen visa. You apply for that country's national long-stay (D) visa or a student residence permit. The Guides section explains this for each Schengen state.
Do I need IELTS?
Most courses ask for an English test. IELTS, PTE, TOEFL and sometimes Duolingo are accepted, but Duolingo may work for admission and not always for the visa. Check your course and visa rules.
What if my IELTS score is below the requirement?
You can retake the test, ask whether the university offers a pre-sessional English course, or check whether another accepted test suits you better. Some visas need a specific test, so confirm before you book.
Is my information private?
Your profile is private to your account, and we do not share your personal details with universities without your consent. The country finder on this page runs in your browser and sends nothing.
